This is the easiest, quick treat to make in a pinch!
Dedicated to Michelle, because I think she liked these...
All you need is:
6 cups Rice Krispies
3 tbsp butter (plus some more for greasing)
1 bag marshmallows (I think around 10 oz bag)
*Note - use SMALL marshmallows, not the big ones!
In a large pot, melt the butter over a low flame.
Add the bag of small marshmallows to the butter - the small ones melt a lot easier than the large!
Use some more butter to grease a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. This will let the squares pop right out after being cut. You can also rub some butter on the spatula.
Stir the marshmallows every once in awhile to make sure they don't burn and it is fully melted.
Once everything has melted, turn off the heat, add rice krispies and mix thoroughly! Do this fairly quick because the mixture will start to stiffen.
After everything is mixed well, spread it evenly in the glass dish. You may need to butter or spray the spatula again - this keeps the mixture from sticking as you press it into place.
Taz: "But what about the sprinkles Daddy??? You said there would be sprinkles!!"
OK! OK! Taz gets his way - If you would like, toss some sprinkles on top for some added color. Then let them cool for at least 15 minutes before you cut them into squares. Make sure you eat them within about 24 hours - otherwise they start to get too hard. I'm sure that won't be a problem though,
right Michelle??? ;-)
